Terms and Conditions
1. General Rental Conditions
1.1. The customer declares and acknowledges that the vehicle is in good working order and free of apparent defects, beyond those documented in the contract.
1.2. The vehicle must be returned in the same condition in which it was delivered.
1.3. Smoking is strictly prohibited for the driver and/or occupants inside the vehicle. Evidence of smoking will result in a penalty fee to be paid by the customer.
1.4. In the event of "burning" or total loss of the clutch, the customer is solely responsible for the full cost of its replacement and repair.
2. Via Verde Management Service
2.1. By renting the vehicle, the customer automatically subscribes by Law to the electronic toll payment service provided by Flashrent. This service uses a Via Verde device owned by Flashrent, installed on the windshield. The customer is solely responsible for the full payment of all tolls and the related administrative fee of €2.23/day incurred during the rental period, pursuant to Decree-Law No. 84-C/2022.
2.2. The customer authorizes Flashrent to debit the amount due for toll usage. Please note that toll processing may take between one to two business weeks to be finalized.
2.3. The customer is responsible for the correct operation and preservation of the Via Verde device and may not, under any circumstances, remove it. Any malfunction must be reported immediately to Flashrent for replacement. In case of damage caused by the customer or failure to return the device, a replacement fee will be charged based on current Via Verde rates.
3. Basic Flash
3.1. Rates include CDW (Collision Damage Waiver with third parties and Theft). A security deposit of €150.00 is required to cover cleaning fees and tolls. A full excess (deductible) applies.
3.2. In the event of an accident, Flashrent is not liable for bodily injury or material damage caused to the customer or passengers.
3.3. This plan does not cover any type of negligence or specific incidents.
4. Classic Flash
4.1. Includes SCDW (Collision, Theft, and Windshield). A security deposit of €150.00 is required for cleaning and tolls. 50% Excess Reduction is required.
4.2. Flashrent is not liable for bodily or material damage to the customer or passengers in case of an accident.
4.3. Does not cover negligence (reduces liability only in the event of an accident involving third parties).
5. Silver Flash
5.1. Includes SCDW (Collision, Theft, Windshield, and Vandalism). A security deposit of €150.00 is required for cleaning and tolls. 75% Excess Reduction is required.
5.2. Flashrent is not liable for bodily or material damage to the customer or passengers in case of an accident.
5.3. Does not cover negligence (reduces liability only in the event of an accident involving third parties).
6. Golden Flash Premium
6.1. GOLDEN was created for maximum comfort and peace of mind, offering several advantages. However, please note that GOLDEN is not a total or unlimited protection plan.
6.2. Valid for a maximum rental period of 15 days.
7. Cancellation Policy
7.1. Non-refundable. Refunds are only applicable if the customer cancels within 24 hours of the initial payment.
8. Reservation Payment
8.1. Payments for reservations made during early morning hours (due to time zone differences) will be processed within 24 hours. In other cases, payment remains pending until the close of banking hours in Portugal (3:00 PM). During peak season, processing may exceed 24 hours from the time of booking.
9. Payment Methods
9.1. Our policy is NO CREDIT CARD REQUIRED. Customers wishing to pay by credit card may do so, subject to applicable transaction fees.
